2024 Toyota Corolla Nightshade Edition: Efficient yet sleek

For the 2024 Toyota Corolla Nightshade Edition, Toyota has reintroduced the Nightshade edition, adding a touch of sophistication to my ride. I’m excited about this sleek upgrade, available for both the hatchback and sedan styles. The Nightshade edition, based on the SE trim, is not only stylish but also eco-friendly, offering the option of the Corolla’s hybrid powertrain with either front- or all-wheel drive.

What sets the Nightshade edition apart is its striking blacked-out features, including the grille, rear diffuser, and side-view mirrors. Toyota brought back this edition after a hiatus in 2023, and I’m thrilled about the changes, especially the blacked-out grille, rear bumper, and badges, now complemented by eye-catching bronze wheels.

Toyota Corolla Nightshade Pricing

I recently picked up the Corolla Nightshade Edition Sedan in AWD, midnight black metallic, although it comes in classic silver and white as well. The MSRP price to purchase this Toyota Corolla Nightshade Edition is $23,050. However, with the Nightshade enhancements, you can expect the price to be in the higher $20,000. I believe my MSRP was closer to $26,000s without dealer add-ons.  The interior looks great, featuring soft-touch leather on the dash and front door panels. The seats are cloth and sporty, with a red stripe on top and a dark grayish material. The 8-inch infotainment display is outlined in piano black, adding a touch of elegance to the cabin.

Features and MPG

All models come with Toyota Safety Sense 3, which includes features like blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alerts, and lane assist. For the AWD, it’s worth noting that it features an electrical on-demand AWD system, adding to the overall performance and safety of the vehicle. I can’t wait to explore all the specifics about this stylish Corolla Nightshade Edition Sedan. Plus, those bronze wheels are receiving high praise as the nicest-looking wheels ever seen on a Corolla.

The 2024 Toyota Corolla Nightshade Edition is a remarkable choice for those seeking a stylish yet practical daily driver. I recently acquired the Hybrid version, a smart move in today’s economy, providing excellent fuel efficiency with 47 city and 41 highway MPG. It has quickly become the best Corolla I’ve ever owned, even surpassing my 2014 Corolla LE.

Closing Thoughts

As a car enthusiast with a collection that includes an Acura RSX Type S and a Subaru WRX STI, the 2024 Corolla Hybrid in Nightshade has earned its place among my favorites. Its sleek design, enhanced by the Nightshade features, truly makes it the best-looking Corolla I’ve seen. The affordability and efficiency make it an ideal choice for daily commuting, especially for those covering long distances.

While the new Prius looks appealing, the Corolla Nightshade Edition provides a more budget-friendly option. The Prius’ price point, reaching into the mid to high $30,000s, places it in another tier when considering a new car. In my opinion, the Corolla Nightshade is one of the best deals of 2024, offering not only style but also enhanced performance with its sport mode. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a blend of elegance, efficiency, and affordability in their daily drive.
